Vinegar

Apply it at full power to remove severe mildew accumulations. Combine it with an equal amount of water to remove mild stains.

Borax

Dip a sponge into a solution of half a cup of borax and two cups of hot water, then apply the solution to the affected regions. Rinse thoroughly after letting it sit for many hours until the stain is gone. The object can also be soaked in a solution made of 2 cups of borax and 2 quarts of water.

Bleach

In a bucket, combine 1/2 cup all-fabric bleach with 1 gallon of cool water. Place the polyester item that has mildew stains in the bucket of diluted bleach solution. To eliminate the mildew spores and aid in stain removal, soak the fabric for 30 minutes.
